Hello! My name is Randi and I am 31 years old. I lost my mother in 2008 and my dad in 2017. My mother and I were very close so when she passed away suddenly, it hit me very hard and caused me to go down a dark path. I started scaring my husband and my family. With many ups and downs and everything in between, I eventually found God and then was able to find myself.
I am married and have a gorgeous 4 year old son (whom we named after my mother). My husband has been by my side every step of the way; through the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am a stay at home and I love it. Ironically I have an associates degree in Computer Science/Web Design but apparently God had other plans for me. We are on staff and on the production team at our church, it is so great doing the Lords work.
How the Grieving light got started: One day I told my husband that I wanted to design a website that would create a safe place for anyone to go to and discuss their feelings during their grieving journey. He thought it was a great idea. I was sitting on the floor looking at ideas and God laid on my heart to write a book along with the website. I laughed but it kept coming back to me. I turned to my husband and he looked back with a puzzled face, I said “I am going to write a book.” He chuckled too, and then realized I was serious. He’s like “but you’re not the book writing type.” I told him I knew that but apparently God wants me to.
So here I am 🙂 I hope that my book with touch your life as well as many others. I hope it will help anyone find the clarity and the help they may need. Feel free to message me anytime. I am a full time stay at home momma and I will respond as quickly as possible. Know that I may not be a licensed therapist or psychologist, but I am a great listener and I am here for you. You are not alone in this!
